2025 Cabernet Franc

Victory Point Wines Cabernet Franc Bottle 750ml

2025 Vintage

A warm vintage with stable conditions overall. Dry with cool nights, provided an ideal ripening window.
There was good flowering and fruit set which produced an above average yield in our dry grown vineyard.

The cabernet franc was picked on the 2nd of April and is already developing into a superb wine.

Alc 14.

The Winemaking

The Cabernet Franc fruit is hand-plunged in small batch open top fermenters, with nine days on skins to ensure brightly fruited wine with good flesh and a refined tannin profile. It is then barrel aged in 25% new French oak for nine months, with a secondary fermentation occurring in the barrel.

Tasting Notes

  • Complex aromatics, bright red fruit of redcurrant pomegranate
  • Coupled with dark savory notes of black olive with hints of red licorice.
  • Cherry and raspberry balanced with the savoury characters, saline, a hint of sage.
  • The palate is balanced, textured and coated with a gentle and unhurried nature.
  • Subtle dark cherry tannin wraps up the back palate.

This very drinkable Cabernet Franc is made to be enjoyed now and the future.
